About Australian Courses

A simple, fast list of every course an international student can study in Australia.

Where the data comes from

All courses come from the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). The Australian Government Department of Education publishes this data on data.gov.au. The licence is Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia. The register updates every month. This site rebuilds itself from each new update.

What the fees mean

Tuition is the price the school registered for the whole course. It is not a yearly price. We also show a per-year figure. We calculate it by dividing the total by the course length. This helps you compare a 26-week certificate with a three-year degree. Other fees cover things like materials and enrolment. Schools can change fees at any time. Always check with the school first.

What this site does not do

This site does not take applications. It does not recommend agents. It does not rank schools. It shows the registered data and lets you sort by cost, length and level. Everything else is between you and the school.

Visa and cost information

The cost planner and visa reference use published government figures. Each figure has a date and a link to its official source. We combine them with real registered course fees. Government rules change with little warning. So those pages show you when we last checked, and link to the official page. Nothing on this site is migration advice. In Australia, only a registered migration agent or a lawyer can advise you about your own case.

Cost-of-living signals

Place pages show a $ to $$$$ rent guide. It compares states using rent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. When the figure is for a whole state, we say so clearly. We do not invent rent figures for suburbs. If we have not checked a suburb, we show no suburb figure. Instead we link to your state government's official rent tool. That tool gives you the real figure for any postcode, free.

Who runs it

Australian Courses is an independent website published by Syncorp Consulting in Sydney. It is not connected to the Department of Education or to any school listed here.
