What this site is

Australian Courses is an independent index of courses registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). It exists to make that public register easier to search and compare. It is a reference tool and nothing more.

What this site is not

We are not an education agent, a migration agent, a broker or a representative of any institution listed. We do not process applications, arrange enrolments, or receive commission for referrals. We are not affiliated with the Australian Government Department of Education, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or any provider that appears on this site. Appearing here is not an endorsement, a ranking or a recommendation, and no provider can pay to be listed, promoted or removed.

Accuracy of the information — read this part

Everything on this site is reproduced from a monthly snapshot of the CRICOS register. Course registrations, campuses and fees change continuously between snapshots, and what is registered is not always what a provider currently charges. Treat every figure here as indicative only.

In particular:

• Tuition is the amount registered with CRICOS for the whole course, not per year or per semester
• The per-year figure shown is our own arithmetic — the registered fee divided by the registered course length — offered purely to help compare courses of different durations. It is not a price quoted by any provider
• Where a registered fee is absent or implausibly low, we show "Not published" rather than a number
• Non-tuition fees, materials, overseas student health cover, visa costs and living expenses are not comprehensively covered here
• Entry requirements, English-language thresholds, start dates, credit and admission decisions are set entirely by providers and are not shown on this site

Always confirm the current fee, course status and entry requirements directly with the provider, and against the official register at cricos.education.gov.au, before you apply, pay any money, or make a visa decision. The official register prevails over anything shown here.

Cost-of-living and rent indicators

Some pages show a relative cost-of-renting indicator on a $ to $$$$ scale. Unless a page states otherwise, that indicator is derived from state-level median rent published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, not from data for the specific suburb shown. Rents vary dramatically within any state, city or even street, and the indicator does not represent the price of any particular property, room, studio or apartment. It is provided to help compare regions at a glance and for no other purpose. Before signing a lease or budgeting, obtain the current median for your postcode from the relevant state bond authority and inspect the property.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is education, migration, financial or legal advice. Choosing a course and applying for a student visa carry significant financial and immigration consequences. For visa matters, consult a registered migration agent or the Department of Home Affairs. Decisions you make in reliance on this site are your own.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for any loss or damage — including financial loss, lost opportunity or consequential loss — arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or any site it links to.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited rather than excluded, it is limited to resupplying the relevant information.

Data, licensing and attribution

Course, provider and location data originates from the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students, published by the Australian Government Department of Education and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia. That licence permits reuse with attribution, which is given in the footer of every page. The Commonwealth does not endorse this site and is not responsible for how the data is presented here.

The design, layout, written text, structure and code of this site are our own and are protected by copyright. You may link to any page freely. You may not scrape the site in bulk, republish substantial portions of it, or present it as your own. If you want the underlying data, take it from the source — it is open, and the dataset is linked from our About page.

Acceptable use

Do not use automated tools to place unreasonable load on the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may block traffic that degrades the service for others.

Availability and changes

This is an independently run site. We make no promise that it will remain available, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

Providers: corrections and removal

If you represent an institution and a listing is inaccurate, the fix belongs in the CRICOS register itself — this site rebuilds from the official export monthly and will reflect the correction automatically. If something appears wrong here but correct in CRICOS, that is our error and we want to know about it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
